Swig Equities Promotes Todd E. Korren to Executive Vice President and Director of Commercial Leasing and Operations
New York, NY – November 29, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Kent M. Swig, President of Swig Equities, LLC, is pleased to announce that Todd E. Korren has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Director of Commercial Leasing and Operations. Mr. Korren, a 26-year real estate veteran, previously served as Senior Vice President and will maintain his current role as Director of Commercial Leasing and Operations.
As Executive Vice President, Mr. Korren will continue to be responsible for the leasing activity of all commercial office properties for Swig Equities, which total over 4 million square feet and include 110 William Street, a 900,000 square foot office building; 80 Broad Street, a 400,000 square foot office building; 90 Broad Street, a 400,000 square foot office building; 44 Wall Street, a 350,000 square foot office building; 48 Wall Street, a 324,000 square foot office building; and 5 Hanover Square, a 325,000 square foot office building.
In addition, Mr. Korren will continue to coordinate and oversee all operations for Swig Equities’ commercial office portfolio, including lease administration, rent collections, tenant move-ins and construction, and tenant relations.

Mr. Korren has over 26 years of hands-on real estate and construction knowledge. His experience includes leasing, asset management, construction, acquisitions, redevelopment and repositioning of underutilized assets, dispositions, site assemblage and property management in the office, multi-family and hospitality sectors.

Prior to joining Swig Equities, Mr. Korren served as Managing Director of Rockrose Development Corp., a $2.5 billion developer/owner/manager, where he was responsible for managing the $750 million, 2.25 million square foot commercial and retail portfolios located throughout New York City.
Prior to that, at the Witkoff Group, Mr. Korren was responsible for leasing, operations and financial management of a $1.2 billion, 7 million square foot commercial portfolio in Manhattan, New Jersey, Texas and Philadelphia.
Previously, at Insignia/ESG (now a part of CBRE), an $850 million full service real estate brokerage company, Mr. Korren represented numerous landlords and tenants in the tri-state area as their leasing, consulting and construction representative.
Mr. Korren earlier gained construction experience as a Project Superintendent for StructureTone, and as a Project Manager for a prominent Long Island developer where he participated in the design, budgeting, construction and marketing of over $35 million in multi-family, commercial and hotel development projects.
Mr. Korren received a Bachelor of Science in Management at New York University in 1986 and received a Master of Business Administration at New York University in 1994. He has also completed courses in the New York University Graduate Real Estate Program and is a licensed New York Real Estate Broker.
Mr. Korren is affiliated with many civic and professional organizations including: Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York (former Vice-Chairman, Governor and Secretary); Real Estate Board of New York (Sales Committee; Economic Development Committee; Rental Conditions Committee); Long Island City Business Development Corporation (Board member) and the Architectural Review Board of Roslyn Estates (Co-Chairman).
He is a frequent guest speaker and an author of articles pertaining to office leasing and asset management. Mr. Korren has been recognized by such leading publications as Real Estate New York, Real Estate Weekly and Real Estate Forum in industry rankings including “Rising Star”, “40 Under 40”, “50 Under 50”, “Broker All Star” and “Top Broker”. He was selected by the REBNY as the 2009 Young Real Estate Man of the Year.
Mr. Korren resides in Roslyn, New York with his wife and two daughters.
