National honors for 4 Long Island brokers

MELVILLE, N.Y. – April 29, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Four Long Island-based commercial real estate brokers were honored by Cushman & Wakefield for their 2014 accomplishments at the company’s recent national awards ceremony.

Frank Frizalone, Marisa Karmitz, Phil D’Avanzo and Nick Gallipoli received honors at Cushman & Wakefield’s National 2015 Recognition Awards held at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn on April 16.

Frizalone, who rejoined C&W back in 2007, has been a top producing industrial broker for the Long Island market. Frizalone is credited with securing multiple international clients including Parker Hannifin and Danaher Corporation. In 2014, he was part of the team that completed a 320,000-square-foot industrial expansion for Beckman Coulter, a Danaher subsidiary, at 2295 Progressive Drive in Hebron, Kentucky.

Karmitz, an Associate Director in C&W’s Long Island office and active member within the market, serves on multiple boards including the Commercial and Industrial Broker Society of Long Island and the St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital. Marisa closed multiple deals in 2014, including a lease renewal for BenefitMall at 1000 Woodbury Road in Woodbury, Long Island.

D’Avanzo, a C&W Senior Director and perennial top producer in the Long Island office, was honored for 2014 deals that included the sale of a three-building, 170,000-square-foot industrial portfolio in Farmingdale, Long Island, as well as multiple transactions for UBS, Merrill Lynch and Tri-Northern.

Gallipoli, a Senior Associate for C&W and rising star in the Long Island industrial market, completed several transactions last year including a 20,000-square-foot relocation for Sauflon Pharmaceuticals to 35 Engel Street in Hicksville, Long Island, as well as multiple deals for Autopart International and True North Urgent Care.
