Governor Cuomo Deploys DFS Mobile Command Center to Locations in Nassau County and Staten Island

Trained Staff to Help Sandy Victims with Applications for Federal Housing and Business Recovery Aid Wednesday and Thursday in Nassau County Insurance Assistance Available Friday and Saturday on Staten Island

Albany, NY – May 22, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Governor Andrew M. Cuomo will deploy representatives of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) to help Nassau County homeowners and business owners apply for federal recovery aid for Superstorm Sandy losses on Wednesday and Thursday. DFS will also offer insurance-related help to Staten Islanders on Friday and Saturday.

DFS representatives will be available to help Nassau County residents with applications for federal assistance, as well as provide help with insurance issues, at these times and locations:

Wednesday, May 22 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Waldbaum’s Shopping Center, 85 E. Park Ave. in Long Beach.
Thursday, May 23 – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bellmore Knights of Colombus Sandy Relief Fair & Resource Fair, 2333 Bellmore Ave., in Bellmore, in partnership with the Knights of Columbus, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and various Nassau County and Town of Hempstead agencies.

DFS representatives will be available to help Staten Island residents with insurance-related issues related to storm losses at these locations:

Friday, May 24 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Stop & Shop, 4343 Amboy Rd., Staten Island.
Saturday, May 25 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2600 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island.
