Torrance, CA – March 26, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Seasoned industry professionals Henry Goldfarb and Stanley Lindenfeld have been named vice chairman and executive managing director of Lee & Associates NYC LLC, respectively. The two retail experts have over 42 years of combined experience within the New York-based real estate markets where they have specialized in retail and commercial brokerage.

Previously one of Grubb & Ellis’ most senior professionals in the New York retail market, Goldfarb boasts over 26 years of experience advising and representing notable metropolitan and national landlords and tenants. He led the Grubb team that exclusively represented the Crowne Plaza hotel, a one-million-square-foot mixed-use, hospitality and commercial asset in the heart of Times Square. Goldfarb’s team also successfully repositioned the Crowne Plaza’s more than 14,000-square-foot retail component and significantly increased the leasable retail space. As the exclusive representative of AIMCO, one of the largest publically traded residential REITs, Goldfarb dramatically increased retail revenues in the company’s 65 Manhattan buildings by upgrading the tenant mix through new leases and lease renewals.
As a 16-year industry veteran previously with Grubb & Ellis, Lindenfeld collaborated with Goldfarb representing both landlords and tenants in a variety of restaurant and commercial retail transactions. In addition to also working on the Crown Plaza and AIMCO teams with Goldfarb, Lindenfeld also represented the Friedman family’s retail and development portfolio, encompassing properties from the west side to the east side, from Harlem to Fulton Street alongside Goldfarb. Additionally, he provides advisory and consulting services for major national chains, working with companies to produce feasibility studies for market penetration in the Tri-State area.
Since Sierra Realty Corp. partnered with Lee & Associates and became Lee & Associates NYC LLC last November, the firm has recently moved into a new office at 600 Madison Ave. Goldfarb and Lindenfeld’s hiring comes on the heels of recruiting several senior office brokers and new additions to Lee NYC. The two will join Wacht, Managing Principal Peter Braus and Chief Operating Officer and Head of Broker Recruitment Joel Herskowitz and 24 other brokers in the Manhattan office.
Goldfarb is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Real Estate Board of New York Store Committee and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Lindenfeld attended Washington University Graduate School of Architecture and holds a bachelor’s degree from Queens College. He is also a member of ICSC and the Real Estate Board of New York.
