Mangano Announces Free Workshop For Homebuyers On June 1st

New York, NY – May 18, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced a free workshop, “Making Home Buying a Reality,” sponsored by Liberty National Title Agency, Ciao Baby Restaurant & Lounge, the Long Island Housing Partnership and the Nassau County Office of Housing and Community Development. The free workshop will take place on Monday, June 1st from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Ciao Baby Restaurant & Lounge located at 5074 Sunrise Highway in Massapequa Park.

County Executive Mangano stated, “My administration has worked tirelessly to create more than 1,000 new housing opportunities for families, seniors, and young adults. With the use of Federal dollars, Nassau County and the Long Island Housing Partnership offer down payment assistance. Residents can learn more about these opportunities, as well as meet with leaders in the real estate business, by visiting the free ‘Making Home Buying a Reality’ workshop on June 1st.”

Attendees will have an opportunity to seek guidance and assistance from Real Estate Brokers, Lenders, Home Inspectors, Attorneys, Solar Companies, Title Insurers, Home Improvement Contractors, as well as representatives from the Long Island Housing Partnership and Nassau County Office of Housing and Community Development.

All proceeds from the workshop will benefit the Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior (NCFF-OWW). NCFF-OWW is a non-profit 501(3C) organization centered on providing needed items and gifts of appreciation to the wounded men and women of our armed services. NCFF-OWW works closely with military representatives of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington DC, Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC and the Naval Hospital in Camp Lejeune, NC. Together, they ensure that useful clothing, personal entertainment electronics and get well cards are properly channeled to recovering service personnel.
