NEW YORK, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ — Cindy Wenig has joined Apollo Real Estate Advisors as general counsel. Previously, she led the real estate practice at Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where she practiced law for 16 years.
At Chadbourne, Wenig advised clients on all aspects of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, leasing, financing and sale of office and residential buildings, hotels, commercial properties, power plants, green energy projects and infrastructure development. She represented clients in many large scale redevelopment projects in New York City, including the redevelopment of 125th Street in Harlem and The World Trade Center site, and advised private equity funds on real estate investments in the U.S. and abroad.

A summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University, Wenig earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School. She serves on the board of directors of WX, Women Executives in Real Estate, and frequently serves as a speaker at real estate industry events. Last year, Wenig was featured in Vault’s “View From the Top: Q&A with Legal Women Leaders.” She also received a Cornerstone Award from Lawyers Alliance for pro bono service in connection with the development of supportive housing facilities in Brooklyn.
