City of Utica Homeowner Occupied Rehabilitation Program Funding is Now Available

UTICA – (RealEstateRama) — The HomeOwnership Center (HOC), headquartered in Utica, NY, is now accepting applications for the City of Utica’s Homeowner Occupied Rehabilitation Program.

Rehabilitation projects funded under this grant are targeted to be completed during 2016.

Program eligibility requirements include: the property must meet the State’s definition of substandard; homeowners must meet income guidelines; all property taxes and insurances must be current; applicants must own the property for which the application is submitted etc.

Priority will be given to those individuals and/or families living within the Center City Target Area Boundaries which are defined as such:

? Pleasant Street: Genesee to Steuben
? Steuben Street: Pleasant to James
? Kemble Street: Pleasant to Clinton
? Clinton Place: Kemble to Genesee
? Genesee Street: Clinton to Pleasant

Chartered in 1979 by NeighborWorks America, the HomeOwnershipCenter promotes housing and community development through programs such as Homebuyer Education and Financial Coaching, housing rehabilitation, and foreclosure prevention. The HOC provides services to residents in Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Fulton, Otsego and Montgomery counties.
