DNR PARTNERS WITH HOMEOWNERS TO RESURFACE ENGMAN LAKE ACCESS ROAD IN MARQUETTE COUNTY

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources today announced that the Engman Lake Access Road in Marquette County will be resurfaced beginning Monday, June 6.

The DNR is teaming up with more than a dozen Engman Lake Homeowners in the area to fund materials for the project, which cost an estimated $6,000. The DNR is doing the road work.

“It is these types of partnership efforts and support that make a difference,” said Dan Dowdy, DNR unit supervisor for the Baraga State Park Management Unit.

Dowdy, who is overseeing the project, said the access road leads to the DNR’s Engman Lake Boating Access Site. The boat launch will remain open during the road construction, but boaters and residents could experience some traffic delays.

The project is anticipated to be completed by Thursday, June 9.
