Goshen, NY – May 21, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus announced on Thursday that the Department of Public Works has received a rebate for $16,500 by participating in Orange and Rockland’s Big Energy Solutions Rebate Program.
“I commend our Department of Public Works for investing in energy efficiency,” Neuhaus said. “A project such as this takes diligence and hard work. Orange County will realize its benefits for years to come and I’m excited that we took advantage of this eco-friendly initiative.”
Orange County’s Department of Public Works recently completed a $75,000 LED lighting upgrade at its garage, located in Goshen. The project involved the installation of LED Hybay fixtures and LED lamp tandem wraps, providing increased lighting in the garage with reduced energy usage. The Department of Public Works expects a savings in energy use and bulb life. As a result of the energy-saving project, Orange County obtained the $16,500 rebate from Orange and Rockland.
