Engineering Firm Takes Full Floor at W&H Properties’ 1400 Broadway
Reflects Success of Building’s Transformation to Office Property
NEW YORK CITY, NY – February 13, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Hatch Mott MacDonald, an engineering consulting firm, has leased the entire 30th floor of W&H Properties’ 1400 Broadway, announces Anthony Malkin, president of Malkin Holdings, which supervises the W&H portfolio.
The lease is a significant milestone, notes Mr. Malkin. “Our tenant base at 1400 Broadway continues to transition from showroom to office,” he explains. “Hatch Mott MacDonald’s full-floor move to 1400 highlights that companies in non-fashion sectors recognize that 1400 Broadway provides a top-quality corporate office environment.”
Hatch Mott MacDonald will move from its current location at 3 Park Avenue into its new space, which contains nearly 16,000 square feet, in the fall.
Hatch Mott MacDonald is headquartered in Milburn, N.J., comprises more than 65 offices across North America, and employs 2,000 people. Specializing in infrastructure, transportation and environmental engineering, the firm offers public and private clients a complete range of services, including planning, feasibility studies, design, contract procurement, construction management, program management, and operations and maintenance support.
David Goldstein and James Schroeder of Studley represented Hatch Mott MacDonald in the lease negotiations. Scott Klau and Erik Harris of Newmark Knight Frank represented the landlord.
Part of the W&H Properties’ Pre-War Trophy office portfolio, 1400 Broadway is supervised by Malkin Holdings LLC, one of New York City’s most financially stable ownerships. W&H Properties is committed to sustainable property operations and development, including energy efficiency, water use reduction, waste and recycling and indoor environmental quality initiatives.
Available space ranges from tower floors of 15,000-20,000 square feet, with large usable terraces and outstanding views, and a contiguous block of 70,000 square feet in the base of the building with the potential for a private entrance and dedicated elevators.
