Coney Island Development Corporation Announces Winners of 2009 Coney Island Student Art Competition

New York, NY - May 19, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — The Coney Island Development Corporation (CIDC) today announced the winners of the 2009 Coney Island Student Art Competition. The competition titled “My Vision of the Future of Coney Island,” was an opportunity for Coney Island students to express their artistic creativity and create a vision of what they believe the Coney Island of tomorrow should look like. The 2009 Student Art Competition was open to students residing in Coney Island, Brooklyn, in grades one through eight.

NYCEDC And UMEZ Announce Program to Assist 125th Street Businesses

New York, NY - May 6, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone (UMEZ) announce the Harlem Business Assistance Fund, a grant program intended to offset some expenses small businesses may incur in relocating to 125th Street and its vicinity. The program is funded by New York City Industrial Development Agency and will be administered by UMEZ on behalf of the City.

Total Household Debt Increases, Driven by Mortgage, Auto and Credit Card...

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York today issued its Quarterly Report on Household Debt and Credit,which reported that total household debt increased by $114 billion (0.9%) to $12.84 trillion in the second quarter of 2017. There were modest increases in mortgage, auto and credit card debt (increasing by 0.7%, 2% and 2.6% respectively), no change to student loan debt and a modest decline in balances on home equity lines of credit (decreasing by 0.9%).
