WASHINGTON – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Chris Collins (NY-27) announced new federal funding from the Department of Transportation for the Perry-Warsaw Airport. Administered through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), this $45,000 grant will fund the construction of a new snow removal equipment building to extend the life of the equipment by protecting it from adverse weather conditions.
“Supporting infrastructure projects like the Perry-Warsaw Airport will bolster local tourism and improve air-travel efficiencies for incoming and outgoing passengers,” said Congressman Collins. “This is a prudent use of federal tax dollars that will help improve the quality of life in Wyoming County and throughout all of Western New York. I am glad this FAA funding is being invested in New York’s 27th Congressional District.”
“The airport received a federal grant last year for snow removal equipment and this $45,000 in FAA funding will allow the airport to build a new structure to store and maintain that equipment for years to come,” said Jim Brick, Perry Town Supervisor. “The airport helps support tourism and job creation in our community. We look forward to continuing to work with Rep. Collins to continue to secure federal funding that will improve infrastructure and drive economic development in Wyoming County.”
The Congressman’s office remains available to assist any local government pursuing a federal grant.
