NEW YORK CITY, NY – October 27, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — CresaPartners has expanded the brokerage staff in its New York office, according to Marcus Rayner, managing principal. The international commercial real estate service advisory firm specializes in tenant representation.
The new team members in New York are: Michael McKenna, senior vice president; Elyse Candella, vice president; and Marisa Fegan, associate.
“The expansion of our brokerage team through these new hires will enable us to offer an even greater depth of expertise and insight and an even higher level of service to our New York clients and prospects,” says Mr. Rayner.
Mr. McKenna, 47, brings 16 years of experience to CresaPartners, having represented a broad array of real estate users in the New York metropolitan area. He has completed over two million square feet of lease transactions for financial, creative and service firms, international corporations and entrepreneurs. Mr. McKenna also has been involved with more than 700,000 square feet of acquisitions and specialty financing, and has extensive experience in restructuring and recasting lease obligations. Most recently, he served as a director at Newmark Knight Frank. Mr. McKenna is a graduate of The University of Rochester.
Elyse Candella, 48, is a 20-year veteran of commercial real estate. Most recently, Ms. Candella served as director of business development at TGP Architecture, where she amassed extensive experience in the design/construction field. She also has held brokerage positions at Cushman & Wakefield and Insignia/ESG, where she represented national and international office and retail clients. Earlier in her career, Ms. Candella was a staff attorney for the Department of Finance, Real Estate Property Assessment Bureau, and worked in private practice, representing various tenants and commercial property owners. She is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Stony Brook.
Marisa Fegan, 30, joins CresaPartners as an associate after practicing real estate and finance law. She began at Bingham McCutchen, an AMLAW 100 law firm, and then joined Rome McGuigan, where she represented various financial entities, owners, and tenants in complex real estate matters and developed strong negotiating, drafting, and analytical skills. A member of the American Bar and New York Bar Associations, Ms. Fegan is licensed to practice law in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. She holds degrees from the University of Connecticut School of Law and Connecticut College.
