EVO Real Estate Group Negotiates Seven Commercial Leases For Tenants from Midtown to Chelsea

Firm represents a wide range of companies in leases totaling over 45,000 square feet

NEW YORK CITY – October 24, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Once primarily known for its tenant representation services in the garment center, EVO Real Estate Group has recently brokered seven commercial real estate deals – totaling over 45,000 square feet — for a diverse range of tenants in various parts of Manhattan, from the Plaza District to Chelsea, according to Dana Moskowitz, president of the firm.

In one of the most notable deals, investment bank HC Wainwright has subleased the entire 16,400-square-foot fourth floor at 430 Park Ave. The two-year deal (with an option to stay after expiration of the initial term) was brokered by EVO’s Corey Abdo on HC Wainwright’s behalf, while the prime tenant was represented by Dana Pike of George Comfort & Sons, Inc.

“HC Wainwright was looking to expand into a space that it could reformat to its precise specifications, and 430 Park was perfect,” says Mr. Abdo. “The space is already bifurcated, allowing HCW to separate its bankers, traders and research staff, according to SEC regulations.”

Also, home textile company Alok Industries has leased 18,000 square feet at 105 Madison Avenue. According to EVO’s Barry Bernstein, who brokered the deal with EVO’s Evan Lieberman and Bloom Industry’s Scott Bloom, the tenant was attracted to the wide-box nature of the space and recent improvements, including new base work and new bathrooms. Alok will take possession at the end of 2013 for a ten-year term. The landlord was represented by Paul Davidson and Michael Frantz of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

Other recent tenant rep deals brokered by EVO include:

• A 2,700-square-foot, five-year lease for public relations company Relevance New York at 150 West 30th Street. Sean Hoffman of EVO represented the tenant and David Berger of Bernstein Real Estate represented the landlord.
• A ten-year lease for the entire 2,500-square-foot second floor at 383 Fifth Avenue for Superior Leather Restorers, Inc. at 383 Fifth Avenue. Elliot Klein of EVO represented both sides in the transaction.
• A 2,400-square-foot, five-year lease for HVAC contractor MIH Systems at 352 Seventh Avenue. Carlo Cantugno and Jared Anderson of EVO represented the tenant, while the landlord represented itself.
• A 1,822-square-foot, five-year lease for communications agency Channel V Media at 80-90 Eighth Avenue at 14th Street. EVO’s Howard Epstein represented the tenant, while Eric Gural of Newmark Knight Frank represented the landlord.
• A 1,525-square-feet, five year lease for John Reimnitz Architect PC at 231 West 29th Street. Jared Anderson and Roy Somawaru of EVO represented the tenant while Sam Stein of Justin Management represented the landlord.
