NEW YORK CITY, NY – August 22, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The former home of Oceana restaurant at 55 East 54th Street off Madison Avenue has been leased on a long-term basis to a partnership that – after a nearly two-year search – plans to turn the 8,300-square-foot space into a striking new four-level Mediterranean food destination. Spearheaded by veteran restaurateur Tim Pappas, former GM of Philippe Chow and Maitre D’ at Estiatorio Milos, and his partner, Costa Youssis, owner of Veranda in the West Village, the venue will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation designed by renowned international architect Yianni Skordas.
