Flynn to specialize in real estate services for nonprofit organizations; Lopresti to focus on Nassau County office market
MELVILLE, NY – January 11, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Jones Lang LaSalle continues to grow its Long Island presence with the addition of Daniel Flynn and Joseph Lopresti as vice presidents with responsibility for tenant representation and agency leasing services. Lopresti will focus his efforts primarily within the Nassau County office market while Flynn will serve the real estate needs of nonprofit organizations throughout Long Island and Queens.

Earlier this year, Jones Lang LaSalle nearly doubled the size of its Melville office, signing a new direct lease for 5,443 square feet of space at the 133,050-square-foot Melville Corporate Center III, 324 South Service Road.
Flynn, 65, has more than 25 years of experience in the Long Island commercial real estate market. He has expertise on both sides of the table, having served as both an owner’s representative and as a broker handling agency leasing and tenant representation activity for clients.
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Flynn was a senior vice president with Concorde Real Estate Co., where he specialized in tenant representation services for law, accounting and financial service firms. He also worked on the investment sales end, negotiating transfers of titles for nonprofit organizations, professional firms and medical practices.
Earlier, Flynn served with Shorenstein Co. as on-site leasing agent for the four-building Franklin Office Center in Garden City. He also represented Shorenstein in negotiations with numerous major national and global corporations. Before that, Flynn was director of leasing with Pepitone Industries, which sold the Franklin Office Center to Shorenstein. He began his career in real estate with Cushman & Wakefield of Long Island.
Flynn received a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Florida and a master’s degree from Hofstra University. He is a member of the Commercial Industrial Broker Society and is a past member of the Cornell Real Estate Institute. Flynn is a member of the Riverside Economic Development Committee in Southampton, N.Y. He has also served as chairman of fundraising events for the Mental Health Association of Nassau County and for the Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect. Flynn is president of the Hicksville South Rotary Club and is on the fundraising committee for the Quogue Wildlife Refuge.
Lopresti, 33, has a decade of experience in the Long Island commercial real estate market, focusing on leasing and sale transactions for both local and national clients in the Long Island markets. He has completed hundreds of office transactions on behalf of both landlords and tenants throughout his career.
Prior to Joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Lopresti served as an executive director with Concorde Real Estate Co., where he specialized in tenant representation services for both office and medical tenants throughout the Long Island market. He was also responsible for exclusively representing in excess of 600,000 square feet of prime office space for some of his more prominent clients such as Polimeni Enterprises, DBD Realty Group and GHP Office Realty.
Lopresti received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Hofstra University. He is a member of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island. Lopresti has been involved in fundraising for the American Heart Association and contributes to charities that include Mental Health Association of Nassau County, Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect, Coalition against domestic violence and the Nassau County Museum.
