McCarthy has worked in real estate for more than eight years, including at Keller Williams Realty-Lee Beaver & Associates in Virginia, successfully representing clients with rental, new sale, resale and commercial transactions.

Earlier in his career, McCarthy worked in various areas of law including real estate settlements, bankruptcy law, international human rights law, and direct legal services to indigent clients. He spends much of his free time working for his nonprofit organization Justice for All Movement, which provides no and low income individuals with a variety of legal services.
McCarthy has a Law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, and a Bachelor’s in Finance from The College of William & Mary.
