NEW YORK CITY, NY – October 3, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Malkin Holdings has appointed Maya Stanic director of marketing, announces Anthony E. Malkin, president of Malkin Holdings LLC.
The position covers Manhattan, Fairfield (Conn.) and Westchester (N.Y.) office buildings.
Most recently, Ms. Stanic, 33, served as the North America Brand Manager for W Hotels. In that capacity, she developed all North American marketing and branding initiatives for the luxury lifestyle brand, and supervised marketing programming at 29 hotels in North America.
Ms. Stanic, who was named “Manager of the Year 2010” by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc., organized W Hotels’ strategy for Fashion Week in partnership with IMG Fashion, spearheaded the launch of the W Hotels Global Glam Collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, developed and implemented “Symmetry Live” music events with various Grammy-award-winning artists, and developed a joint marketing program with the Tribeca Film Festival, among many other activities that enhanced the visibility of the W Hotels brand.
In her new position, Ms. Stanic is responsible for the marketing of the nine Pre-War Trophy Properties in the W&H portfolio, which is supervised by Malkin Holdings. The buildings include the Empire State Building, One Grand Central Place, 250 West 57th Street, 112 West 34th Street, 1333 Broadway, 1350 Broadway, 1359 Broadway, 1400 Broadway, and 501 Seventh Avenue. She will also supervise marketing for Malkin Holdings’ office properties in Westchester County, N.Y. and in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
“Maya’s experience encompasses an enormous range of creative marketing efforts, which contributed significantly and positively to the image of W Hotels,” says Mr. Malkin. “She is well-equipped, therefore, to maintain the W&H brand, ensure our continued presence with the brokerage community, and innovate in new directions.”
A resident of Manhattan, Ms. Stanic received a degree in marketing and tourism from the School of Tourism in Belgrade, Serbia, and a degree in business management from Interboro Institute in New York. She is a SixSigma Green Belt.
