Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that construction is underway on a $67 million supportive and affordable housing project in the Bronx. U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today announced two grants totaling $ 3,786,030 for Plattsburgh International Airport. The funding was allocated through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Specifically, both grants, the first being $3,427,830 and the second $ 358,200.00, will be used to rehabilitate runways.

Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) announced he is taking legislative action to ensure the Department of Defense pays for the remediation of PFOS and PFOA contamination at Stewart Air National Guard Base. Rep. Maloney is introducing an amendment to the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2018, which would require $35 million to be used specifically for mitigation actions at National Guard installations where site inspections revealed PFC contamination.
