2280 FDB, RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN HARLEM, COLLABORATES WITH PRATT GROUPS FOR TWO-WEEK ART EXHIBITION

The Pratt Harlem Project Opens April 14, 2011

New York, N.Y. – April 13, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — RGS Holdings, the developers of 2280 FDB, a 12-story, 89-unit residential development located in the heart of Harlem in conjunction with Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group and JP Morgan Chase Community Development, is pleased to present The Pratt Harlem Project, an exhibition in collaboration with Pratt and Harlem artists, opening to the public on April 14, 2011.

RGS Holdings, the developers behind 2280 FDB, donated 9,000 square feet of ground floor retail space for the two-week art exhibition, slated to run through April 28. The exhibit is in partnership with The Pratt Painting Club and Pratt Artists League.

“We are very excited to host this exhibition at 2280 FDB,” said Hans Futterman of RGS Holdings, the lead developer for 2280 FDB. “This is a unique opportunity to bring two vibrant arts communities together in the heart of Harlem’s hottest neighborhood.”

The Pratt Harlem Project aims to bring works by new artists from Pratt in Brooklyn and Harlem’s arts community together with buyers and interested viewers. A professionally curated show that selected from 750 submissions, it will feature 90 works from 80 artists. The exhibition will be mixed-media and includes alumni and student artists from both Pratt and the community. Art was selected at the discretion of the curators Heather Darci Bhandari, owner of the Mixed Greens Gallery, and Elissa Levy, a mixed media artist, curator, consultant and founder of InContext Tours.

The exhibit will be held in 2280 FDB’s retail space located at 2280 Frederick Douglass Boulevard between 122nd and 123rd Streets. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, April 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the exhibit will remain open through April 28.  The hours are: Sunday – Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
