West Babylon, NY – October 2, 2008 – (RealEstateRama) — The Long Island Board of Realtors was recently recognized by the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) at a cocktail reception at 15 Union West in New York City.  LIBOR was cited for their philanthropic activities on a global basis and for their “We’re More Than Realtors” campaign.  Members from FIABCI were in Manhattan for the FIABCI-USA Fall Business Conference this September which included a Luncheon at the United Nations and a special VIP reception in the evening.   FIABCI serves as special consultant with NGO status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations Organization (ECOSOC) and through this relationship has a strong philanthropic commitment to help others throughout the world.
