New York, N.Y. – June 11, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Join acclaimed architect and interior designer William T. Georgis and several artisans with whom he collaborates—Michele Oka Doner, Nancy Lorenz, and Mike Gracie—for a lively discussion of his work and new book, Make It Fabulous: The Architecture & Designs of William T. Georgis on Thursday, June 13.
William T. Georgis, whose work Architectural Digest describes as “dazzling and well-integrated,” will discuss his stunning portfolio of houses, apartments, restaurants, commercial interiors, and galleries, including the Museum’s soon-to-open Tiffany & Co. Foundation Gallery. The conversation will include commentary on the architecture and decoration of these works, as well as insight into a career that earned Georgis a spot in the AD 100, Architectural Digest’s international guide identifying the top 100 architects and interior designers in 1999, 2007, 2009, and 2012 (for a full- length bio: http://www.williamtgeorgis.com/#/bio/).
Donald Albrecht, the Museum’s curator of architecture and design and the book’s co-author, will moderate the discussion, along with design historian and co-author Natalie Shivers. The Monacelli Press will publish the book in June.
The event is co-sponsored by The Monacelli Press and the New York School of Interior Design. A book signing and reception will follow the event.
