Costume Retailer Will Operate a Pop-Up Super Store
New York, NY – September 22, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Rose Associates, Inc. has announced that Spirit Halloween recently leased 17,000 square feet of retail space at Chelsea Landmark, the luxury rental property located on Sixth Avenue between 25th and 26th Streets in Manhattan. The short-term lease will allow Spirit Halloween to market its costumes and accessories through the Halloween season.
Bruce Spiegel, senior managing director of commercial leasing for Rose Associates, represented the property owner in the transaction. Spirit Halloween was represented by Alex Hill of Winick Realty. The lease term is 2 months.
“Short-term space is always priced at a premium, but the right location can make it worthwhile for seasonal stores or new retailers testing the waters in a specific market. Spirit will no doubt benefit from having a presence in this densely populated residential neighborhood,” said Spiegel.
Rose is currently seeking a long-term retail tenant for Chelsea Landmark, which offers 17,000 square feet of street-level space and roughly 7,300 square feet of lower-level space. The entire 23,000 square feet had been formerly occupied by Gracious Home, and offers possible divisions as well as venting for restaurant use.
