April 7th Events Offer Residents an Opportunity to Make a Difference in Niagara Falls
New York – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-26) and Niagara University’s ReNU Niagara invite the public to a unique dual event evening at the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center (NACC) featuring information and opportunities to engage in important programs and projects making a real difference in the City of Niagara Falls.
“There is a new energy in Niagara Falls and across Western New York and people are eager to play a role in seeing this community thrive,” said Congressman Higgins. “This is an opportunity for residents to explore how they can put their time, talent and great ideas to work for the good of the region.”
The second annual #LiveNF Volunteer Fair will take place at the NACC at 1201 Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. This free event will feature dozens of local organizations. Guests attending will have the opportunity to speak directly with organization representatives and learn more about the volunteer needs of a wide range of community agencies. Refreshments and prizes will be available.
New at this year’s Volunteer Fair is the “Priceless Auction” where participants can win fantastic local artwork through “bids” promising volunteer hours. Be the highest bidder and complete your volunteer hours by December 30th and you can take home a great piece of art.
Also at the NACC on Thursday, April 7th is the latest edition of Pints for Progress, a community building and idea sharing event aimed at driving progress in Niagara Falls. ReNU Niagara is host for this month’s event which features special guest Christina Custode, a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and Niagara Falls native.
“April 7th will be a busy day in Niagara Falls, and we are excited to collectively present the LiveNF Volunteer Fair in conjunction with the Priceless Auction and Pints for Progress. There is great synergy between of these activities, as they have the community and civic engagement at their core,” said ReNU Niagara Director Tom Lowe.
